If the weather has ever discouraged you from a day of fishing, the inflatable pontoon fishing boat will guarantee that you never have to worry about that again. As many individuals have already learned, if fly fishing is your sport, the superiorchoice is the inflatable pontoon boat. It is challenging to sneak up on the fish when approaching in a gigantic motorboat or raketypeddle boat.

This small boat has a V hull with two pontoon feet on either side. This inflatable boat makes it conceivable to briskly maneuver with little labor and marginal water resistance. When fishing, you definitely want to make as little agitation in the water as possible. It is especially convenient that your inflatable pontoon fishing boat can be deflated and kept in your trunk. An inflatable pontoon boat is easily handled by one person, making it very workablereasonable to venture out solo.

There will be some preparation required in order to use your inflatable pontoon boat. A motor powered air pump will remove much of the effort out of this job.

It is important to weigh all of your fishing essentials when purchasing|buying|selecting} a pontoon boat. You must be sure that the boat that you select is properly rated for the kind of water that you intend to use it in. This is a pivotal safety concern. You could find yourself in a very dangerous position if you venture out in rough waters in a boat that isn’t equipped to handle it. Be sure that the boat that you pick can operate in any situation that you might find yourself in.

You should also regard the size of the boat in your planning. Scrutinize the amount of weight that you expectto be carried in your boat. If you can keep your weight limit lower, that is always more advantageous, but if you are a larger fisherman, you want to be sure that your boat can support the load. Storage sections can be set up in an arrayof different configurations. You will want to think of this when making your decision also.

If you are serious about bringing home some fish, then a pontoon boat is the boat that you will need. An inflatable pontoon boat can readily help you in getting to those hard-to-reach fishing spots. Inflation is easy to handle by yourself. This is the best feature of the inflatable pontoon fishing boat. Thorough research will ensure that you purchase the best inflatable pontoon fishing boat to accommodate your needs.

Photography is the result of combining several technical creations. Long before the first photographs were made, Chinese philosopher Mo Ti described a pinhole camera in the 5th century, Albertus Magnus discovered silver nitrate and Georges Fabricius discovered silver chloride. Daniel Barbaro described a diaphragm in 1568. Wilhelm Homberg described how light darkened some chemicals (photochemical effect) in 1694. The fiction book Giphantie, published in 1760, by French author Tiphaigne de la Roche, described what can be interpreted as photography.

Photography as a usable process goes back to the 1820s with the development of chemical photography. The first fixed photograph was an image produced in 1825 by the French inventor Nicéphore Niépce. However, because his pictures took so long to expose, he sought to find a new process. Working in partnership with Louis Daguerre, they experimented with silver compounds based on a Johann Heinrich Schultz discovery in 1724 that a silver and chalk mixture darkens when exposed to light. Niépce died in 1833, but Daguerre continued the work, eventually culminating with the development of the daguerreotype in 1837. Daguerre took the first recorded photo of a person in 1839 when, while taking a daguerreotype of a Paris street, a pedestrian stopped for a shoe shine, long enough to be captured by the long exposure (several minutes). Eventually, France agreed to pay Daguerre a pension for his formula, in exchange for his promise to announce his discovery to the world as the gift of France, which he did in 1839.

Meanwhile, Hercules Florence had already invented a very similar process in 1832, naming it Photographie and William Fox Talbot had earlier discovered another means to fix a silver process image but had kept it secret. After reading about Daguerre’s invention, Talbot refined his process so that portraits were made readily available to the masses. By 1840, Talbot had invented the calotype process, which deliveres negative images. John Herschel made many contributions to the new methods. He invented the cyanotype process, now familiar as the “blueprint”. He was the first to use the terms “photography”, “negative” and “positive”. He discovered sodium thiosulphate solution to be a solvent of silver halides in 1819, and informed Talbot and Daguerre of his discovery in 1839 that it could be used to “fix” pictures and make them permanent. He made the first glass negative in late 1839.

In March 1851, Frederick Scott Archer shared his findings in “The Chemist” on the wet plate collodion process. This became the most widely used process between 1852 and the late 1880s when the dry plate was introduced. There are three subsets to the Collodion process; the Ambrotype (positive image on glass), the Ferrotype or Tintype (positive image on metal) and the negative which was printed on Albumen or Salt paper.

Many innovations in photographic glass plates and printing were made in through the nineteenth century. In 1884, George Eastman developed the technology of film to replace photographic plates, leading to the technology used by film cameras today.

In 1908 Gabriel Lippmann won the Nobel Laureate in Physics for his way of reproducing colours photographically based on the phenomenon of interference, also known as the Lippmann plate.

Processes

Black and White Images

Pictures originally were monochrome and even after colour film was easily available, the commercial photographer used black and white photographic images and prints in preference.

It is important to note that some monochromatic pictures are not always pure blacks and whites, but also contain other hues depending on the process. The Cyanotype process produces an image of blue and white for example. The albumen process which was used more than 150 years ago had brown tones.

Many photographers continue to produce some desaturated images. Some full colour digital images are processed using a variety of techniques to create black and whites, and some cameras have even been produced to exclusively shoot monochrome.

Colour

Colour photography was explored at the beginning in the mid 1800s. Early findings in colour could not fix the photograph and prevent the colour from fading. The first permanent colour photo was taken in 1861 by the physicist James Clerk Maxwell.

Early colour photographs were taken by Prokudin-Gorskii (1915). One of the early methods of taking colour photos was to use three cameras. Each camera would have a colour filter in front of the lens. This method provides the photographer with the three basic channels required to recreate a colour image in a darkroom or processing facility . Russian photographer Sergei Mikhailovich Prokudin-Gorskii developed another technique, with three colour plates taken in quick succession.

A practical application of the technique was held back by the very limited colour response of early film, however, in the early 1900s, following the work of photo-chemists such as H. W. Vogel, emulsions with adequate sensitivity to green and red light at last became available.

The first colour plate, Autochrome, invented by the French Lumière brothers, reached the market in 1907. It was based on a ’screen-plate’ filter made of dyed dots of potato starch, and was the only colour film on the market until German Agfa introduced the similar Agfacolor in 1932. In 1935, American Kodak introduced the first modern (’integrated tri-pack’) colour film which was developed by Polish constructor Jan Szczepanik. It was Kodachrome, based on three coloured emulsions. This was followed in 1936 by Agfa’s Agfacolor Neue. Unlike the Kodachrome tri-pack process, the colour couplers in Agfacolor Neue were integral with the emulsion layers, which greatly simplified the film developing. Most modern colour films, except Kodachrome, are based on the Agfacolor Neue technology. Instant colour film was introduced by Polaroid in 1963.

Colour photography may form images as a positive transparency, intended for use in a slide projector or as colour negatives intended for use in creating positive colour enlargements on specially coated paper. The latter is now the most common form of film (non-digital) colour photography owing to the introduction of mechanised photo printing equipment.

Full spectrum photography ultraviolet and infrared

Ultraviolet and infrared films have been available for many years and employed in a variety of photographic avenues since the 1960s. New technological developments in digital photography have opened a new direction in full spectrum photography, where careful filtering choices across the ultraviolet, visible and infrared lead to new artistic visions.

Modified digital cameras can display some ultraviolet light and all of the visible and much of the near infrared spectrum. As most digital imaging sensors are sensitive from about 350 nm to 1000 nm. An off-the-shelf digital camera contains an infrared hot mirror filter that blocks most of the infrared and a bit of the ultraviolet that would otherwise be detected by the sensor, narrowing the accepted range from about 400 nm to 700 nm. Replacing a hot mirror or infrared blocking filter with an infrared pass or a wide spectrally transmitting filter allows the camera to detect the wider spectrum light at greater sensitivity. Lacking the hot-mirror, the red, green and blue (or cyan, yellow and magenta) coloured micro-filters placed over the sensor elements pass varying amounts of ultraviolet (blue window) and infrared (primarily red, and somewhat lesser the green and blue micro-filters).

Uses of full spectrum photography are for fine art photography, geology, forensics and law enforcement and even some claimed use in ghost hunting.

Digital Photography

The Nikon D1 was the first DSLR to truly compete with and begin to replace, film cameras in the professional photojournalism and sports photography fields and was the start of something very new.

Photography as it was, stopped the commercial photographer from operating effectively while out on a shoot by not offering quick and easy access to developing laboratories to process film, added to that was the rivalry from television that put more pressure on the snapper to get results to newspapers quickly.

Press and News photographers at remote locations often carried miniature photo labs and a means of transmitting images through telephone lines. In 1981, Sony unveiled the first widely available camera to use a charge-coupled device for imaging, eliminating the need for film: the Sony Mavica. While the Mavica saved images to disk, the images were displayed on television and the camera was not fully digital. In 1990, Kodak unveiled the DCS 100, the first commercially available digital camera. Although its high cost precluded uses other than photojournalism and professional photography, commercial digital photography was born.

Digital imaging uses an electronic image sensor to record the image as a set of electronic data rather than as chemical changes on film. The main difference between digital and chemical photography is that chemical photography resists manipulation because it involves film and photographic paper, while digital imaging is a highly flexible medium. This difference allows for a degree of image post-processing that is comparatively difficult in film-based photography and permits different communicative potentials and applications.

Digital point-and-shoot cameras have become widespread public products, outselling film cameras and including new features such as video and audio recording. Kodak announced back in January 2004 that it would no longer sell reloadable 35 mm cameras in western Europe, Canada and the United States after the end of that year. Kodak was at that time a minor player in the reloadable film cameras market. In January 2006, Nikon followed suit and announced that they will stop the production of all but two models of their film cameras: the low-end Nikon FM10, and the high-end Nikon F6. On May 25, 2006, Canon stated that they will stop developing new film SLR cameras. Though most new camera designs are now digital, a new 6×6cm/6×7cm medium format film camera was introduced in 2008 in a co-operation between Fuji and Voigtländer.

According to research made by Kodak in 2007, 75 percent of professional photographers say they will continue to use film, even though some embrace digital.

For the people grouped in the professional photographer category a U.S. survey identified the point that around 68% of the professional photographers were more pleased with the results from film when compared to digital images under certain situations which include:

  • film’s superiority in capturing more information on medium and large format films (48 percent);
  • creating a traditional photographic look (48 percent);
  • capturing shadow and highlighting details (45 percent);the wide exposure latitude of film (42 percent); and
  • archival storage. (38 percent)

Digital pictures has raised many ethical concerns because of the ease of manipulating digital photographs in post processing. Many snappers have declared they will not crop their pictures, or are forbidden from combining elements of multiple photos to make “illustrations,” passing them as real photographs. Today’s technology has made picture editing relatively simple for even the novice photographer. However, recent changes of in camera processing allows digital fingerprinting of RAW photos to verify against tampering of digital photos for forensics use.

Camera phones, combined with some photo sharing web sites, have lead the way to a new kind of social photography. But that is a whole new article.

Video cameras are often used to capture special events such as births, weddings, graduations, and more. This serves as a graphic memory of the events that transpired during a special occasion. As a result, you want to ensure that you are taking the steps necessary to create a high quality video that will allow you to remember the special occasion for many years to come. In this guide, you will learn the top 3 tips for using video cameras to capture special events.

1. When using video cameras at a special event, it is important to avoid shooting in what is referred to as “LP Mode”. While this is considered the economical choice due to the fact that it allows you to record more on a tape or a memory card, it also reduces the overall quality of the video.

2. Most video cameras today come complete with a built in microphone. If you are taping a special event, avoid using this at all costs. Determine if the camera has an input for audio. If it does, purchase a microphone that can be plugged directly into that jack. This way, you will be able to experience the highest quality when it comes to sound.

3. Most video cameras of today come complete with a wide variety of special effects that can be turned on to enhance video that you elect to record. When taping a special event, avoid these effects. Nine times out of ten, they will damper the overall presentation of the event.

Special events occur throughout all of our lives. Advances in video technology now allow us to capture these special moments. By following the top 3 tips in this guide, you can successfully record any event with any number of video cameras with success.

I stumbled upon the master cleanse program while looking for more info on fasting, it appears to be a very popular one and is considered pretty solid. Some of you may remember it as the same ‘diet’ Beyonce used to lose a few pounds for Dreamgirls.

After reading the reactions of others on the internet to the cleanse I found it very encouraging and also informative of what it truly takes to complete. I contacted a few people about their experiences with the master cleanser and some did not get past day 2 or 3 which appears to be where most stumble. As most fasts require not eating I have never been able to stick with it for more than a day. This lemon juice cleanse at least allows some nourishment (the drink used for cleansing which uses lemons is why it is also known as the lemonade diet.)

The Master Cleanse follows a simple routine, however it isn’t exactly easy. Though the guidelines are few, the will power necessary to succeed is another thing altogether. Luckily I came across a book that gives you lots of tips and tricks to make the cayenne pepper diet a much smaller challenge.

It is hyped a lot for the weight loss one can achieve but I’m not over-weight so that is not why I am interested in it. I am looking to get the toxin cleansing that it was originally created for. I felt really tired and sluggish lately and enough people have told me how much better they feel after a fast that I went for it once more.

From what I’ve been reading the typical amount of time spent on the master cleanse diet is ten days, although it is not uncommon for people to stay on the cleanse for longer periods of time. I decided to commit to only 5 days to see how I reacted. Considering I never made it past 2 days before that was quite an accomplishment.

With the secrets book as my guide I was able to look up issues and find answers to questions that enabled me to stick with it. Just from reading it I had much more confidence in my chance of success. The extra confidence surely led to my success.

Luckily I went to see my doctor for a check-up recently so the timing was good. If you are thinking of trying this or any kind of fast you should definitely clear things with your doctor first. It’s your health don’t play games.

The final verdict: I feel much better after the 5 days and I am considering doing it again. Next time I will shoot for the full ten days. One suggestion I can offer is to take it easy when trasnitioning back into eating (the secrets book gives excellent guidance on this.)

If you market to everyone, “your client will be no one.” This is an old saying that is as true today as it was when it was first spoken. Mortgage professionals waste an immense amount of their marketing dollars on ineffective advertising that blasts their general message to the entire marketplace. This is commonly referred to as “spraying and praying” in the marketing world.

Your Solution: Find out how to narrow your marketing focus. The result is a more effective use of your precious marketing dollars and a much higher prospect to client conversion rate for your mortgage business called Niche Marketing.

Why Niche Marketing?

Niche marketing allocates a smaller portion of your marketing budget on building a list of likely prospects and then investing the rest on converting those prospects into clients. The result is a more effective use of your precious marketing dollars and a much higher prospect to client conversion rate. The end result is a significant increase in referrals.

By definition, niche marketing is narrowing your marketing efforts to a group(s) of prospects that have a high likelihood of being interested in purchasing your product or service.

Basically, there are three types of niches, (1) business occupations such as revenue property owners or general contractors and (2) “sub-cultures” such as people who love to play golf or people who love their Harley Davidson motorcycle and, finally, (3) credit scores such as A, B or C business.

Once you come to intimately know the niches you’ve selected to market to, your ability to convert prospects into clients becomes infinitely easier.

Your 6 Step Niche Marketing Program

Setting up your own mortgage niche marketing software program is simple using the following six step process. Each step in the process is important to the ultimate success of your niche marketing program. There are no shortcuts to niche marketing success.

Step 1 - Choose a Niche

When choosing a profitable niche to market to make sure that it’s one that you can easily contact by mail. A good choice would be a niche in which mailing lists are readily available. If at all possible, your niche should be one that communicates amongst itself through community groups or events. It helps if your niche suffers from problems that a mortgage professional can solve. Lastly, ensure that your niche has the money to purchase a home.

Perhaps the easiest method of choosing a niche is to review your client list and look for groups of people in the same occupation or subculture groups. The beauty of this method is that the niche you choose has already proven that they want a mortgage.

Potential niches that you might consider are self employed business owners, first-time home buyers or people with damaged credit. Each specific niche has a unique set of problems and aggravations that they have to deal with when trying to get a mortgage.

Step 2 - Develop your Brilliant Marketing Message

Once you’ve chosen your niche, your next step is to develop the marketing message that you will deliver to your prospects. To develop your message you’ll need to know: What problems or issues they are facing? What results are they looking for? And what is it about your service or approach that is going to interest them and make them remember you?

Materials you should expect to develop are a lead generation special report or financing guide. The guide can be 5-10 pages in length and should, (1) identify your prospect’s problem, (2) create a mental picture of the negative effects of the problem, and (3) talk about the benefits your financing solutions and how you will solve their problem. This financing guide can be in written form or better yet, a CD or video.

You’ll also need to create two sales letters. One sales letter will be for promoting the free financing guide and the other for leading them to take the next step and complete their application. You should also create a “What People Are Saying” testimonial book that contains endorsements from clients in your niche with accompanying pictures of them standing next to their newly purchased home.

Lastly, you’ll need a brochure. But not a standard mortgage brochure — one that is custom developed for your niche. So if you chose to market to renters and general contractors, you should develop two different brochures that include messages specifically targeted to the needs of your niches. The brochure doesn’t have to be glossy and expensive. But it does need to talk directly to your niche and address their unique problems.

Step 3 - Obtain or Generate a List of Prospects

Your list of prospects is the most valuable element of your niche marketing program. First, look for existing lists of niche prospects. For example, if you’re targeting business owners you might buy a membership list from your local Chamber of Commerce.

If you chose renters and couldn’t find an existing list, consider doing a deal with a local financial planner to do mailings to each other’s respective client lists.

To obtain a list of professions and subcultures to consider in your niche marketing program, send a blank email to nichelist @ mortgagemarketingcoach.com with the subject: “Niche List”.

Step 4 - Contact your Niche

It’s time to assemble your marketing message and send it to your niche market. This will be done in two steps. First, send your sales letter offering your free report or guide. Ask your prospects to respond by calling you to order their free financing guide. The next step is to send the guide to those who responded to your mail out and combine it with a note stating the benefits of taking the next step with an application.

WARNING: The next step is a common area where many mortgage professionals either cheat or skip altogether by just sending a one-step offer to the list. People are tired of one-step, “in your face” marketing. They want to be courted first. By sending good, non-sales type valuable information you’ll be establishing a warm relationship, which will prepare your prospect for your offer.

Step 5 - Follow up

Following up with your prospects is key! 98% of all mortgage professionals rarely follow up after their first mailing yet studies have shown that a prospect needs to see you and your offer at least three times to make a decision.

To dramatically increase response to your direct mailings you should consider following up by phone, introduce yourself, ask if they received your guide, and ask if they had any further questions.

Step 6 - Develop a Niche Referral Program

Now that you’ve taken the effort to establish your niche marketing program you should leverage your efforts by implementing a systematic referral program. Remember when I mentioned that it was important to choose a niche that communicates amongst itself? This is why! If you’ve created a happy client they will begin to talk to others in your niche.

For example, if you’ve targeted business owners in your city, they will start to talk about you in their monthly meetings and informal get-togethers. You can multiply this by rewarding your clients in some way when they tell their friends.

Be sure to make your referral program “systematic” so that it is an established process in your business that gets measured and for which people get rewarded for closed deals.

For instance, you might consider awarding a free dinner for two certificate or move tickets when your clients write a personal endorsement letter to two friends. You provide the endorsement letter template and they share their testimonial with two of their friends.

Conclusion

There is a misconception that if you narrow your target market that there will be fewer prospects to market to; however, you’ll find the opposite to be true. Once you begin to tailor your message to the specific needs of your niche and you begin to receive word-of-mouth advertising within your niche, new clients will come out of the woodwork . In fact, your client base will actually expand.

To be competitive in today’s economy you need to consider new methods and marketing techniques to reach more high quality prospects. Niche marketing is a proven way to uncover new prospects, increase closing rates, and boost referrals.

The best registry cleaner is a piece of software which actually scan your whole computer, and registry, for errors and corrupt files which are slowing your machine down. The software then uses its scanning ability to fix those files… but will they stand up to the technological advances of 2009?

From our experience, the best registry cleaner for 2009 is one called “RegCure”. This is not only one of the most popular registry cleaners, with over 60 million downloads, but is also one of the most constantly updated pieces of software on the whole planet. It’s been updated especially for all the latest advances of 2009 and you can tell.

Not only does RegCure work flawlessly in Microsoft’s latest operating system - Vista - but it also has some of the most advanced features to make your PC run faster and more smoothly than ever before. For example, the scanning engine that RegCure has is probably the most advanced of all registry cleaners simply because it uses this intelligent scanner to make it more of a targeted search. Also, it has a backup & restore facility which acts like a safety net to help you if your computer decides to break all of a sudden.

You see, most registry cleaners are what are known as ‘dumb’. They just follow a bunch of pre-programmed rules which say what to do for certain files. They don’t care if the files are important or not, they just look at how many files they can ‘fix’. This leaves us with a problem, because most of the files in the registry are crucial to a computer’s smooth operation. In essence, they are the core of the PC - your PC would not be able to function without them.

So what makes Regcure the best registry cleaner of 2009 is simply that it’s got an extremely powerful engine to help it scan through even the latest computers to make them faster and more responsive. It’s got other backup features to act as a safety net and it’s constantly being updated.

The benefits of conducting an annual employee survey is widely accepted but many organizations have been put off by the amount of effort those annual surveys take to deploy.

Many organizations who have bit the bullet and conducted their own internal employee satisfaction surveys have often relied on word-processors to allow them to design and compile a survey, then gone through the effort of printing and distributing the survey and spent time chasing and collecting the completed surveys and then even more time transferring the survey response information into a meaningful management report.

Fortunately with the introduction of the Internet and hosted survey websites what was once a time consuming, resource hungry, long winded and cumbersome process is now slick, quick and easy.

Document here is a step by step guide to help implement a survey that will bring considerable benefits to any organization.

Step 1 - Identifying the Need

There are numerous reasons an organization might need a survey. The following are a few of the common reason why employee satisfaction surveys are conducted.

Event Driven Drivers

If your organization is about to embark, or is going through, a process reengineering program a series of employee surveys can assist in managing the change program, measure the effectiveness of the change, help to deliver a ‘message’ and gather valuable feedback throughout the change cycle.

Where an organization is experiencing a period of rapid growth employee surveys can make sure that the employees are aware of their reporting and management responsibilities.

Where an organization is suffering from poor moral brought on by either internal or external influences an employee survey can be used to identify the specific concerns of employees so those concerns can be properly addressed.

Where there is an increase in turnover of staff employee surveys can help an organization identify the underlying cause of employee unrest and through their findings help find solutions.

Periodically

As part of a periodic assessment, surveys will help an organization review their personnel and monitor on an individual level job satisfaction, training and career development.

Employee surveys will allow the senior management team the opportunity to look at what makes their organisation tick and confirm, or not, that their ‘top down’ view matches the reality and ‘bottom up’ perspective of their employees.

With the help of employee surveys an organization can establish good employer/employee communication that will in turn bring both direct and indirect benefits.

Step 2 - Management Support

It is always desirable and sometimes essential to have management support for a survey but where a management team might have grown complacent and detached from their employees the survey results may be all that is required to get them to positively reengage with the business and employees.

Some organization may be fortunate in that the senior management recognize and drive the need for employee surveys, while in others the management may need to first be convinced of the direct and indirect benefits an employee survey will bring.

The level of management commitment to an employee survey will have some bearing on the nature of the survey and to some extent will help determine what questions are to be asked and the manner they are asked.

A management that is supportive of the initiative may require feedback on specific areas of the business or they may give the go ahead because they feel confident that the results will only confirm that the level of employee satisfaction throughout the organization is high.

Step 3 - Designing The Survey

Good surveys will take some time and effort to write but providing the basic rules of survey design are followed and a concerted effort is made to include the ‘need to know’ questions and omit the ‘nice to know’ an effective survey will begin to take shape.

Deciding on what questions should be asked will be entirely dependent on the individual organization, its structure and the previously identified primary need and objectives of the employee survey.

When considering what questions to ask consideration should be given to how the results are to be analyzed. As an example you may be tempted to ask for individual comments but these types of answer formats can be very cumbersome and time consuming to analyze and it is recommended that they be avoided or at least used sparingly.

Online surveys make it practical to conduct multiple smaller surveys than one very long survey and avoid the higher the drop out rate that are associate with longer surveys.

Step 4 - Proof Reading And Testing

Grammar, Spelling And Clarity

Before the survey is published carefully check that there are no spelling and typing mistakes or incorrect grammar. It is recommended that you always have a colleague who has not been involved in the survey design to proof read the survey with clean eyes before the survey goes live, if no colleague is available try to take a break before checking through the survey again.

Say What You Mean And Mean What You Say

When checking the survey consider the survey from the respondent’s viewpoint, you may know what you mean by each question but will the employee?

Allow The Employee To Answer Truthfully

For closed questions where the employee will be required to choose from a number of available responses have you allowed the employee to answer accurately? Make use of responses like ‘No Comment’, ‘Not Applicable’ or ‘Don’t know’ where you want to make the question mandatory but the employee may not be able to answer.

Consider allowing the employee to include an ‘Other’ answer but also appreciate that ‘Other’ answers will add to the complexity when analyzing the survey results.

Don’t Require A Response To Questions That May Not Have One

Check that for any questions that you have made mandatory you do require an answer, for example open questions such as asking for additional comments should be made optional unless you definitely require the respondent to write a comment.

Check You Will Be Able To Analyze The Data

Make another check of the survey but this time examine how the results of the survey will be analyzed. Consider how you are likely to want to analyze the survey data, have you asked the right questions to be able to perform detailed analysis? For example if you want to be able to view the detailed response data from the perspective of the different departments, or maybe length of service, check you have asked the employee to indicate their own department and/or length of service.

Don’t Ask More Questions than you Need to

Consider all the questions in the survey and look for questions that are not ‘need to know’.

Test the Link and Try Completing the Survey

Publish the survey and then send the survey’s link to colleagues who will be able to help you test the survey. By completing the survey yourself you will get a feel for how the respondent will view the survey. From your own and the feedback of your colleagues stop and fine tune the survey as required.

Repeat this process until you are happy with the survey.

Check the data

Take the time to view the online results of the test data and ensure that the data is being collected and can be analyzed in a manner that will give meaningful results.

Step 5 - Deploying and Promoting the Survey

Where all or the majority of employees have access to the Internet or company intranet deploying the online survey is as easy as falling off a log, either via email or by establishing a link to the survey from your own website or the Intranet.

If there are employees that do not have direct access to the Internet there may be a number of alternatives that can be used such as issuing the survey in printed form, providing access through a shared terminal or giving them an incentive to complete the survey at home.

Step 6 - Monitoring

While the survey is in progress you will be able to view the summary results online and also monitor in real-time the number of surveys that have been both started and completed.

If after a few days the number of completed surveys falls short of any set target it is advisable to send employees one or more reminders to ask them to complete the survey.

Step 7 - Analyzing the Results

When it comes to analyzing the results data there are no hard and fast rules. Much will depend on the specific survey, the questions that are asked and the number of responses that are received.

Providing the right questions have been asked when the survey data is first analyzed often a number of ‘headline’ results will immediately stand out that will provide you with an overview and an instant assessment of the general mood of the organization.

In areas where the results indicate areas of concern a more detailed analysis may be advisable. For example if employees were asked if they felt the organization provided equal opportunities to both genders it would be useful to have a gender split and if say 25% gave a negative response the ability to drill down further to see what the gender split was of the 25% that answered negatively. Was the negative view shared by employees of both genders, consistent throughout the organization, or was it restricted to a particular gender and/or a particular department?

Step 8 - Further Action

The most important step is more likely to be the last. An employee survey will either confirm that the perfect organization exists or it will highlight areas that are less than perfect by identifying individual and common concerns.

It may be that further more detailed surveys are required that target specific areas. For example the results of a survey may reveal that employees working in a particular department are unhappy, but the reasons for their dissatisfaction may not be clear. A highly focused follow-up survey may help reveal the root causes.

When employee surveys are periodically run an organization that has taken steps to address issues will see their efforts reflected in subsequent survey responses. Almost all organizations have problems and it helps an organization’s moral to see that a channel exists that will identify problems that can then be addressed and resolved.

Summary

These guidelines are intended to help an organization conduct successful employee satisfaction surveys, they are however, only a guide.

By utilizing existing technology and conducting surveys online you are now able to monitor the heart beat of an organization, quickly, easily and at minimal cost.

Over 80% of British families have roasted turkey on Christmas Day. They simply would not have anything else but roast turkey and all the trimmings. It is the commonest meat eaten at Christmas.

As with all poultry, turkeys must be cooked thoroughly. Salmonella food poisoning could be contracted if the meat is left even slightly undercooked. This is particularly relevant to frozen birds. They must be all the way through defrosted.

Most turkeys nowadays come specially prepared, no need for removing the feathers or removing the insides. The first thing that needs to be done is to remove the giblets from the plastic bag inside the bird. These giblets can be boiled in a pan to make a basic meat stock for gravy or stuffing and the liver can be finely chopped and used in stuffing.

If the turkey is going to be stuffed more time must be allowed for the turkey to cook completely. Cooking times will be increased if the legs of the turkey are trussed. The turkey should then be covered in streaky bacon and the whole bird covered in foil which should only be removed when the meat is cooked to allow the skin to crisp and brown. Consult recipe books for cooking times as larger turkeys will obviously take much longer to cook.. And don’t fprget the gravy boat for that perfect turkey gravy.

When placing a turkey inside the oven ensure that it is in a dish that is large enough to catch all the fat and juices that will ooze out. Also, do not place the pan that is too high in the oven as this will result in the skin and outer meat being cooked but the inside will still be raw. The darker meat takes longer to cook than light meat so always place the turkey in the oven legs first as the back of the oven tends to be hotter. When carving the bird, make sure you have a chopping board that is large enough to hold her.

Make sure that family and friends have been invited round well in advance of the big day and on Christmas Eve make sure that preparations are well advanced. An early start will be needed to Xmas Day to make sure everything is cooking prior to the meal. When the roast turkey is cooked, serve everything up and enjoy. The dishes can be washed later!

When looking at buying a used tractors you must ask a lot of questions and you also need to have a a good close inspection of the machine you are thinking of buying.

One of the first considerations when buying your used tractor is whether you can afford a brand new farming tractor or whether your budget only allows for a second hand or used one. Lately there has been an increased interest in antique farming tractors because these things have become kind of a collector’s item instead of something just has a functional use on the farm.

However, don’t jump too soon, before you buy anything you need to do is work out precisely what jobs or jobs your tractor will be predicted to do round the farm.

Buying a vintage or used tractor is a very good way to save cash when setting out to source machinery for your farm. Though short of some of the advantages of a brand spanking new tractor, there are still many benefits to purchasing used agriculture tractors as long as you know what to look out for! When having a look at used farm tractors you must ask a lot of questions and you also have to have a much closer inspection of the machinery. When having a look at used farming tractors, take a close look for any indications of rust. Without machinery such as this, you may anticipate finding a little of rust but not so much. Also keep an eye out for any fresh looking paint or any paint that doesn’t appear to fit with the remainder of the machinery.

This fresh paint may be an indication of rust and the owner has attempted to cover it up so be sure you ask questions about this and do not give up until you get answers. A used farm tractor will generally come with a much-reduced ticket than a brand new one but you must still set yourself a budget for buying one. If you’re having a look at an almost new tractor for an incredibly low price, the probabilities are that there are a few things wrong with it and you should enquire as to the character of the minimal cost. However, the same applies the other way, if a particularly badly maintained tractor for sale is on sale for a high price, don’t dismiss this straight away, take a harder look and you will find that there could be new machinery/parts/attachments which warrants the ticket.

I’ve been wearing contacts for a long timeyears}, but have never felt particularly adventurous with my lens choices until very recently. While my friends have been raving about color contacts for ages, I’m just now finding out how fun it is to switch things up and add more variety to my life. There’s just something very liberating about being able change my eye color from brown and blue to green (and all shades in between) whenever I feel like it! The only drawback to color contact lenses was their cost. The top brands from well-known manufacturers like acuvue color contacts or freshlook colorblends contacts can be considerably more expensive than I’m used to paying for my regular lens products.

When I first started wearing color contact lenses, I just bought them from a local store at full retail price. I discovered soon that this was a drain on my limited budget, so I had to start searching for more affordable options.

The only problem was that I didn’t want to settle for lower quality color contact lenses in order to save a buck or two. I have very sensitive eyes, and I learned the hard way that some of the cheaper lens products can cause major irritation. Dealing with red, itchy, dry eyes is not something I want to face on a regular basis.

So I then started shopping for color contacts online. I found out that contacts arevery popular products because it seems like there are hundreds of websites selling them! That’s good from a consumer’s perspective, as all that competition drives prices down. I soon found several reliable places that offered the exact brand of color lenses that I wanted at much lowered prices. Many of these online shops even provide free cleaning kits or other free stuff, which of course makes their deals even better. This is wonderful news for my wallet.

Besides low prices and free gifts, online retailers often stock a wider variety of color contact lenses than the bricks-and-mortar stores that I’ve been to. They often have more colors and brands to choose from, which means I almost always have new styles to try out.

If you like colored contacts as much as I do, or if you’re thinking about trying them for the very first time, then I recommend that you buy online. You’re simply not going to get the same prices or selection at any traditional store, so don’t even bother wasting your time (and especially not your money) with those places!
